  1. Personally, I have no issue with visible tattoo's. People always complain about how "it will look weird when you're older", but then again who is going to look good when they're 60 years old? Absolutely no one (besides celebrities of course). I mean, if the guy wants to be a lizard for the rest of his life, that's his business. It is a bit odd to see, considering his tongue is split in half and his teeth are filed. He must have issues finding a job, which can be annoying but he seems to find his way. I really don't care what anyone does to their body, it's their's to do with what they want. As long as they're not forcing me to do anything weird I'm okay with it. Hopefully he doesn't start to regret it, considering most of the changes he made are permanent.

  2. I am a person with tattoos and I don't care what people think. One of my tattoos does mean something to me so i know i will never regret it. As for the Lizard Man i don't know how someone can do that to their body, its actually pretty freaky. Some people do regret tattoos they get and go through painful processes to remove them, what if he does not want to look like this anymore? People will never take him seriously. To be honest, people who want to be like him are pretty stupid. I know many people with many tattoos but they do not look bad and its they are pretty much covered when they are dressed. Changing your body like that is a huge decision.

  3. The lizardman is really scary looking. I think he really like lizards to modifie his whole body. All the of hours tattooing he must be painful. I think he did all the tattoo to be in the freak show to get money.

  4. I understand how people enjoy getting tattoos and they have the freedom to do so, but I don't know what possessed this man to mutate himself into a "lizard." Perhaps, it was his extreme obsession with them. Now, he acts like a lizard and have several piercings that seem to be incredibly painful. If, he ever wanted to become his original self again, there would be numerous scars all over his body. At least, there are many people who are entertained by him and being in freak shows enables him to be his "lizard" self.

  5. After seeing this video about "Lizard Man" was very odd the things he did to himself, such as splitting his tongue in half and moving it around, marking his WHOLE BODY in ink, that can cause harm to him when he is older. I know everyone wants tattoos, i get that, but changing everything about who you are, can be intense. I know for a fact he is having trouble with getting a job, but know he is known as " FREAK" because he works in "A FREAK SHOW" and that can be his only chance to survive through life. In my case, i don't judge people, and if he is proud of his decisions of becoming "LIZARD MAN" and is know known as lizard man, well good for him! Now he is trying to get a tail, like a lizard, and the doctors are saying its very dangerous, but he doesn't care. That is very scary, to know he can die from getting a tail, and he doesn't care if his life can end soon!

  6. Ok-after watching lizard man I thought of the people I see in the freak/side shows in coney island-despite the fact that all of that ink is on his face and it is in green color is crazy-nevertheless-I have no real reason to be against anything that anybody else does with their body-I thought that he was a bit much with splitting his tongue-have know idea why he would do that-but its how he wants to live his life-only problem I have if you really want to have the full effect of being a lizard -he should really live-eat and sleep like one-

  7. Watching this video on the lizard man was crazy because of all his body modifications. The fact that his tounge was split to look like a lizards tounge sort of freaks me out because you obviously dont see that everyday. While watching the video I was wondering what it must be like to look like that and have all those tattoos and different body parts like his tounge, teeth and eyebrows. The lizard man is strange and not normal I feel like itd be really hard for him to get a stable job

  8. i think the lizard man looks pretty cool. its crazy that he spends so many hours getting tattooed. he has a lot of confidence though and thats good because although it seems that many people support him and think hes cool, more people probably look at him in disgust. he doesnt care how people see him because hes doing his own thing. hes definitely one of a kind and is known all over for the crazy things he does. hopefully hes still as confident when hes 60.

  9. I honestly am not a fan of tatoos but I have no problem with people getting them I just would not want any on myself. I think this man is crazy. I do not understand why he would do this to himself. I think he has too much money and not enough places to spend it. However, it is interesting how humans can change themselves into something so unrecognizable and alien. He can even move the two sides of his tongue seperately. It blows my mind why he would do this and how he can even become this.

  10. After watching this video I was shocked just at the amount of work and time he put into all of this. I respect the fact that he doesn't care what people think at all and did it for himself, but I also think he will regret it someday when he becomes played out. He has an abnormal obsession with lizards and that's also unhealthy so I don't understand that. His health is also at risk but he seems to not care which usually takes someone who is not mentally stable.

  11. I think it's strange how people are so set on changing the way they look that they are willing to go through hours and hours of painful procedures. I don't have anything against people who do it, after all it is their body and they have the right to do what ever they want to it. They must have a lot of courage to do it though, because there are so many things that could go wrong, especially when you're doing something as big as modifying your whole body. There are going to be so many people who think that what he did to himself is idiotic. While I was watching it my mom walked over, and was completely in shock and couldn't understand why anyone would do that to themselves, and there are going to be so many other people who think in that exact same way. If he ever wants to work for a major corporation or join the army he's going to have a hard time with it.

  12. I never understood the stereotype towards someone who ha visible tattoos that they can't get jobs and are looked at as outsiders or out of place. I know I want to get tattoos because they look cool. But not to the extent of the lizard man, just a few on my arms. But who cares that he does this..l I know I don't. Is it weird and completely freaky? To us yeah but that's the point of this class. There really isn't a real definition of normal. It's what we perceive as normal. He looks crazy, but if that's what he wants that's ok. He's making money off it so I dont see why he would care what others think. He's happy the way he is then that's all that should matter. I respect him for going through the pain of all those tattoos and piercings though that's crazy

  13. Personally i think you have to be crazy to make yourself turn into a lizard (or at least look like one), but i mean if he did it for attention he most certainly will get it ! Not just from media, but even walking down the road. He will be judged, but who cares? It's his life maybe he felt like "a lizard trapped in a man's body", haha i don't understand it, but do whatever you want. I just hope for his sake he doesn't regret his decision to change species..

  14. Through his extreme body modification, the lizard man is sending the message that he does not care for the norms our society has put in place. He clearly wants to stand out from the crowd and also seems to enjoy the attention he recieves. This seems to be true because he works in freak shows and gets paid to make public appearances. However, many people will reject him because he looks different. He would have a hard time if he attempted to get a "real" job working in an office, for the government or city, etc. People most likely think that he is strange before they ever meet him, based on his appearence. Many people would not take the time to get to know someone who looks different from what is considered "normal" in society

  15. I have never seen someone so dedicated to being a certain animal in my life. I thought this was disturbing a little. It somewhat freaked me out. If him looking like a lizard makes him feel happy than it is what ever floats his boat. He is his own person and if people are inspired to walk around like lizards I am okay with it.

  16. Personally I find this to be extreme but people have the right to control what they look like. This guy clearly took advantage of his right and transformed himself to be something he feels more comfortable being. I'm sure looking like this will impact his social life signicificantly and make the public think that he is weird and what not. This shows how beautiful society is because we have the free will to control what we look like, how we act, who we want to be known as etc.

  17. This is very extreme. He seems to love the attention he gets. i guess its worth it to him considering all the pain he must have went through just to look like that. He seems to be getting along well with his freak shows and hi band. the only thing that really matters is that he is happy, it doesn't matter what other people think.

  18. Watching the lizardman and what he did to his body is weird. But he is not the only one in the world like him. I think you have to be out of your mind to do something like that but he seems to be happy with what he has done. What he did is creepy because it is not something that a person would do. Getting a tattoo is one thing but changing yourself to look like a animal is not normal to me but it part of society.

  19. I think what the Lizard Man was able to do to his body is very admirable, to find a person who truly doesn't care what other people think, and does what he wants to do to feel comfortable and better about himself in this world is very hard to find. If this is what makes him happy, he should be able to do it, we should all strive to be like him, maybe not to that extent, but to the extent of being able to make our outsides looks the same as how we feel on the inside. As a person who has body modifications (stretched ears) I get comments a lot about how people think they're ugly, or pointless but to me they're not they're something I like and something I'm proud of being able to accomplish through years of working on getting my ears the size i want, and I feel that people need to stop having the normal ideals of how people should look, and act. Its not societies decisions, its the individual persons.

  20. Its crazy what he did but for him to not care what society thinks is such a good quality that a lot more people should have. The fact that he inspires people is kinda scary who knows what some people will do to be like him. His appearance is different but hes dedicated to it, he put a lot of work, time and money into it and continues too. Its a little extreme but its his choice.

  21. I was shocked to see that he is not completely out of society. I thought he was going to be a total outcast. I can not believe he has a wife. But he also does not sound very abnormal. If I just heard an interview with him with out actually seeing him I would never think he completely altered his whole body appearance.

  22. I don't see the necessity of tattooing your entire body and getting strange piercings. If you do things like that, pretty much the only place you're going to be able to go is the freak show. He's never going to be able to get a professional job now, because nobody is going to take him seriously. I understand that he wants to send a message to society about being different and nonconformity, but he took it to a whole extreme. I get having some tattoos, but to go to such an extreme and tattoo every inch of your body when it's going to be difficult or even impossible to undo, I don't understand that. Maybe he's happy like this and that's great that he doesn't care what people think, but he's insane.

  23. I believe people have the right to do what ever they want to their own bodies. If they are comfortable with how they look than people should understand that tattoos are a way of self expression. In this case with the lizard man, he made a name for himself, he will one day leave the earth knowing he had made an everlasting impression on someone's life, knowing if it's good or bad, it still something. While looking through these pictures, I looked at all the detail of the tattoo. Yes, I do think it is strange to want to do that do your body, but in a way he looks like a work of art. He stands out in a world where everyone is trying to be the same and that is something special.

  24. I personally wouldn't have those extreme body modifications like the lizard man but I do not care what anyone does with their own body. If someone is comfortable at being very extreme and weird then let them be. I see nothing wrong with so many tattoos even though it may look sloppy when they become older it is still a memory of how they were when they were younger. Body modifications define who you are and the lizard man body modifications define him and I applaud him for being him because he is even happily married. Everyone is so worried what body modifications is acceptable in society and what is not and they aren't simply living life to the fullest.

  25. I think the lizard man is admirable for the fact that he doesn't care that others might think he's a freak or that they might judge him because of his body modifications. I am interested in tattoos and even though I would never go that far with it, its his body and he's able to do what he wants with it. Its a bit odd to see because not many people are as extreme as he is with his piercings and tattoos and we're not used to seeing people like this every day. He used his body as a canvas and the artwork on his body, in my opinion, is beautiful.
