The foods in Korea are very weird looking and have different taste. Many foods can be eaten alive. You can bring live food to restaurants and they make it for you. Resturants rush to get the live octopus to the table. The octopus does not have much flavor. Some foods can be bitter but others can be sweet.
ReplyDeletepersonally i think everything in the video is gross. I could never eat something that is alive and wiggling in my mouth. I never even heard of some of the seafood, like a sea squirt. The food does not even look appetizing.
ReplyDeleteThe food in Korea is definitely interesting, especially since there's a lot of sea food. That food that was moving in the plate and wiggling in his mouth grossed me out because personally I would never be able to eat something that's moving, but I guess over there that's whats normal for them.
ReplyDeleteOh ew I would never be able to eat anything while its still alive and i probably still couldn't eat half the stuff even if it was dead. I don't trust raw fish but, i give him a lot of respect for even looking at moving tentacles let alone putting them in his mouth.
ReplyDeleteI think it's amazing how different the food is in Korea. It's an everyday thing for them to eat fresh seafood like that, yet people here would refuse to even look at it. I thought it was really interesting that the tentacles still moved after they chopped it up, and that they actually want it to still move while they were eating it. Though, I would never be able to eat it.
ReplyDeleteThe food in Korea is certainly interesting. Although I would never ever eat something that was still moving, I do give them credit for doing it. It is weird yet interesting how you can bring the food to the restaurant and they'll cook it for you. Like I said although I would not eat this stuff, I respect them because it is a part of their culture and the way they live
ReplyDeleteThe food is definitely different in Korea. We aren't used to buying something live and bringing it to a restaurant to be cooked for us. We're also not used to eating something while it's still moving in our mouth. I found it really disgusting especially the squirt and I would personally never eat any of that. To Koreans this is all normal since it is seafood, and I'm sure other cultures have way more bizarre meals.
ReplyDeleteThis food from Korea looks so cool. Personally, I'd love to go try some no matter how weird it is. It's actually nice to see we have something in common, that being that they eat octopus as well. Although the fact that the tentacles would still have suction is a tad odd. It's also interesting how you get to pick out your own food, fresh and have it cut, cleaned, and cooked for you. In this case you're able to see where your food comes from instead of blindly ordering what you think you want. Also, speaking from experience, the bean paste isn't actually that bad, I'm sure a lot of people could enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI found that this video was somewhat interesting, but I would never eat any raw food for that matter. I found that you are what you eat and going into that market and eating all of that raw sea squirt with hot sauce or whatever that was-was disgusting.
ReplyDeleteHe ate octopus it looked creepy-The only thing I would have tried but believe me it would have had to be cooked was the fish-I can tell you now I would love to go to different places and look at the different people, places and things-I just don't know how much food I would try-other than that the video was very interesting.
the food they eat is really interesting and kind of weird to me. personally i wouldnt want to eat it mainly because im not a big fan of seafood especially if the food is raw. i think its funny that they bring the food to a restaurant and have it cooked. i think its pretty disgusting that some of the stuff they eat is still alive and moving around.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy eating seafood and I will eat some types of sushi. But, the food in this video was very obscure. Specifically, I would not eat food that is still living and moving. It probably is dangerous and tastes weird. However, I did find this video to be fascinating because food is a cultural universal and it is interesting to observe what other societies eat on a daily basis.

To them the food is just great and they could eat that for days. But me on the other hand I don't think I could do it. For us it is disgusting but for them it is the greatest thing in the world. But it is still weird to eat anything that is moving or anything in that nature.
ReplyDeleteTo the food they are eating look digusting but to them it is really good. Some of the food they eat is live and they enjoy it but to me that is weird. Its part of their society so it part of life and nature.
ReplyDeleteI honestly could not even finish watching the whole video because I was eating. It's cool that Koreans eat differently than Americans but it's not for me. Since I am a vegetarian, I am thinking if I went to Korea, I would not survive because everything is just raw and looks nasty and I will just probably eat grass if I have to. The food is interestingly disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI think thats nasty that they can eat food while its moving in their mouth. They had a huge fish store that had more then 700 vendors and the people there shop like its a Keyfood. Americans fry everything half of us would never try that. I find it interesting that they can eat like that but during the whole video i just kept saying ew. I cant even eat cooked fish so I would never try it raw.
ReplyDeleteIn Korea, there is lots of sea food. Their culture would be strange here because they eat the tentacles while they are still moving. They also eat raw foods. Some buy live seafood and bring it to the restaurant to be prepared. Its very different, and it made me sick. I would not be able to eat that.
ReplyDeleteIn Korea the food is very different than what I've ever seen. It seems like they mostly eat seafood. The thing that was weird was that not only they ate raw fish they ate it while it was still living. I've never heard of that before and I would never want to eat that. I think it's crazy that their foods can be so different
ReplyDeleteIn Korea the food is very different from our food! The food he ate in Korea was either still moving or tasted terrible. Alot of the food looks gross and slimmy and something I definitly would never eat. It amazed me how people could still eat food thats moving.
ReplyDeleteI think the foods in South Korea are scary. I think that you everything and anything. If i live in south korea i would probably die. You couldn't pay me to eat that.
ReplyDeleteIn South Korea, its so awesome to see their culture, because what they eat is very different what we eat. like for example some of the food, is still moving when you are eating it. for us it might be gross but for South Korea its normal!
ReplyDeleteI think the food in Korea is a little weird because we are not used to it, but its also fascinating to see what other cultures eat. I can never imagine myself eating that food since I have a way of judging food by its texture.
